14% Sheep is a high energy, low fibre ration designed to be used as a supplementary feed for sheep in grazing based systems. It has been formulated to compliment pastures by providing a fermentable carbohydrate source and minerals which means that deficiencies can be overcome and pastures can be utilised more effectively. This ration can also be used to fill feed gaps when pasture quantity is low and quality is poor. It is recommended for feeding to mature sheep such as dry ewes or can be used to maintain older lambs.
16% Ewe & Lamb is a high energy, high protein ration designed to be used as a supplementary feed for ewes prior to joining as well as the later stages of pregnancy or during the initial stages of lactation with lamb at foot. It can be used during periods where feed gaps may occur as a result of poor pasture availability or quality. This ration can also be used to compliment paddock feed by providing minerals and vitamins to help ensure a balanced ration is being offered. By ensuring the nutritional requirements of the ewe are met, improvements can be seen in fertility, lamb birth weights and milk production leading to better mothering ability and lamb performance whilst reducing lamb mortality. All of which contribute to a better bottom line. When pellets are offered to ewes at lambing it can also help to train young lambs to pellets which may be beneficial for early weaning strategies or when lambs are destined for feedlot.
16% Drought Pellets are a medium energy pellet designed as an ‘all-rounder’ pellet which can be fed to most classes of sheep and cattle. When fed at lower levels, 16% Drought Pellets are ideal as a supplementary feed during periods of poor pasture availability or quality. It can also be used at higher feeding rates to finish off some classes of livestock.
It is a suitable pellet option when cattle and sheep, due to various circumstances, are being fed in the same paddock or from the same feeder.
